Resignations, transfers and leave suspended for APF personnel ahead of HoR polls

The Armed Police Force has temporarily suspended resignations, transfers, and leave across all offices from February 3 to ensure maximum personnel deployment under the Integrated Security Plan 2026 ahead of the March 5 House of Representatives election.

KATHMANDU, Feb 3: The Armed Police Force (APF), a major law enforcing security agency in the country, has temporarily suspended resignations, transfers and leave across all its offices ahead of the House of Representatives (HoR) election scheduled for March 5.


APF said the move was made to ensure maximum deployment of personnel under the “Integrated Security Plan 2026” for the upcoming parliamentary election.

“All APF offices have been instructed to suspend acceptance of resignations, halt transfers to other offices, and reject leave requests except in urgent cases from February 3,” Thapa said.
