Taskforce discusses prickly issues of peace process

KATHMANDU, June 26: The taskforce, earlier formed by a three-party meeting with a view to resolving various contentious issues related to the peace process, held at meeting at NC Parliamentary Party leader Ram Chandra Paudel’s residence in Balaju on Sunday morning.



The meeting is said to have discussed ways to expedite prickly issues of the peace process including the number, modality, rank harmonization for integration of Maoist combatants.



On the occasion, Paudel also said to have stressed on incorporating NC’s programs in the new fiscal prior to presenting it in parliament. The House is currently holding a pre-budget discussion, with the government planning to bring the new fiscal budget by mid-July.



The taskforce members Poudel, UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and senior UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal were present in the meeting.
