On the occasion, the delegation underlined the need for adopting advanced technology at all levels of judiciary, providing professional training for all employees in judiciary, guaranteeing 33 per cent women's participation in every appointment recommendation to be made by the judicial council and applying the provision in the appointment of judges as well.

Seeking special attention of authorities concerned to keep the pride and dignity of the Legislature and judiciary intact, the delegation was of the view that an instance of 'wrong precedent' of a judiciary head leading the government in the future should not be repeated.

During the meeting that took place at Chief Justice's official residence, Baluwatar, the acting CJ said judicial independence and impartiality were always his top priorities, pledging that he would do his best to bring reforms in judiciary.

The delegation comprised society's founding President Krishna Pahadi, President Gangadhar Adhikari, advisor Homkant Chaulagain, founding member Krishna Kandel, vice president Renuka Poudel and general secretary Uttam Pudasaini . RSS
