KATHMANDU, April 3: Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Govinda Bhattarai has registered his nomination for the by-election from Tanahu-1.

The candidacy of Bhattarai is proposed by Shyam Kumar Maurati and seconded by Sarita Gurung. CPN (Maoist Center) leader Hari Bahadur Chuman was also present when Bhattarai registered his nomination.
The by-election is being held on April 23.
